Ellie Glass is a Queens-based writer, researcher, visual artist and video editor. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in journalism and in Hispanic literature and culture, Ellie began working in architecture. While working at several NYC-based firms, she quickly developed personal interests in the political and economic forces shaping the built environment in New York and around the world.
Through her work in strategic communications, Ellie has supported architects and designers in conveying the intent and impact of their work through written content, video, programs and proposals. Her writing has appeared in PIN-UP Magazine, the New York Review of Architecture, and Hey Alma. Ellie is a volunteer yoga teacher at the Bowery Residents Committee, a mixed-media collage artist, and an occasional radio DJ.
